The Global Fund’s Grant Renewals Panel has notified the Board of its intent to recommend against approving requests for continued funding for two Round 8 malaria grants in the Republic of Congo. The Secretariat will give the country’s CCM notice of its “No-Go” intention and the reasons for it. The CCM will then have four weeks to comment. The Grant Renewals Panel will consider the CCM’s comments before deciding whether to submit a formal “No-Go” recommendation to the Board.
The principal recipients (PRs) for the grants are Ministry of Health and Population, and Médecins d’Afrique.
The notice to the Board was included in the Report of Secretariat Funding Recommendations for February 2012. That report is not available on the Global Fund website.
