Global Fund Board approves an additional $16 million from 2017–2019 allocations

Multi-country grant for Southern Africa receives $12 million

On 22 February 2019, the Global Fund Board approved one multi-country grant, one matching funds request and one set of interventions on the Unfunded Quality Demand (UQD) Register –– worth a total of $16.0 million. The Board was acting on the recommendations of the Technical Review Panel (TRP) and the Grant Approvals Committee (GAC). This was the 17th batch of approvals from the 2017–2019 allocations.

Global Fund Board approves $36 million for Middle East Response

Funding to support services for refugees and key populations in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Yemen

As part of a larger package of approvals in December, the Global Fund Board approved a $36.4 grant known as the Middle East Response. This is the second time the several-country arrangement has been funded as such, but now includes an expanded remit.

Global Fund Board approves $229 million in funding for country grants

On 21 December 2018, the Global Fund Board approved 16 country grants worth $229.4 million. It also approved three multi-country grants valued at $24.0 million. The Board was acting on the recommendations of the Technical Review Panel (TRP) and the Grant Approvals Committee (GAC).

Global Fund Board approves an additional $234 million in country grants

Approximately 208 country grants have now been approved in the 2017–2019 funding cycle

On 28 May 2018, the Global Fund Board approved 13 country grants worth $234.2 million. This includes $7.4 million in matching funds. The Board also approved $6.2 million in matching funds requests for grants from two countries for which regular funding had already been approved.

On 12 January 2018, the Global Fund Board approved 33 country grants worth $1.22 billion. This was the fifth batch of approvals from the 2017–2019 allocations, and brings the cumulative amount awarded to date to $8.86 billion.

Another $1.38 billion in grants from 2017–2019 allocations approved by Global Fund Board

On 13 December 2017, the Global Fund Board approved grants worth $1.38 billion from the 2017-2019 allocations. This was the fourth batch of approvals from the 2017–2019 allocations, and brings the cumulative amount awarded to date to $7.64 billion.

Board approves third batch of Global Fund grants valued at $2.83 billion

Sixty-two grants from 29 countries were approved

On 1 December 2017, the Global Fund Board approved grants worth $2.83 billion from the 2017-2019 allocations. This is the largest amount approved in a single batch since the start of the new funding model.
