Dr Nafsiah Mboi and Mireille Guigaz have assumed their duties as, respectively, Chair and Vice-Chair of the Global Fund Board. At the close of the Board meeting in Sri Lanka on 19 June, they succeeded the outgoing Chair (Simon Bland) and Vice-Chair (Mphu Ramatlapeng).
