Aidspan is seeking applications for the position of Executive Director.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will work from the Aidspan Secretariat office based in Nairobi (Kenya, East Africa). The E.D. will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for up to eight full-time staff and a network of national and regional correspondents and watchdog partners in various countries.

Rate of infection among adolescent girls and young women remains “shockingly high” – Dybul

While the Global Fund has had considerable success in providing services to women and children and in reducing infections in those groups, the rate of infection among adolescent girls and young women remains shockingly high. The Global Fund is committed to turning this around. This was one of the central messages in the Report of the Executive Director which Mark Dybul presented to the Board at its meeting on 16-17 November.

Switching gears from a typical executive director's report to the Board during the Global Fund's 33rd meeting on 31 March, Mark Dybul reflected on the six trips he had made in the first quarter of 2015 that demonstrated what he said were the breadth and flexibility inherent in the new funding model.

Dybul Responds to Questions on the NFM

The Global Fund Board has selected Dr Mark Dybul to serve as the Fund’s next Executive Director. He previously served as head of the US President’s Emergency Program for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The decision was made by the Board on 15 November at its 28th meeting in Geneva, and the appointment will take effect in early February.
