Civil society principal recipients (PRs) from across Africa recently gathered in Nairobi, Kenya to consolidate their collective knowledge and experiences and establish a formal community of practice. The role of civil society in the response to HIV is growing

Vietnam inaugurated its first non-governmental principal recipient with the signing of its HIV grant in September 2015. A voluntary umbrella organization of non-governmental or semi-autonomous organizations operating in various science and technology fields, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) was appointed PR after serving four years serving as sub-recipient under the Vietnam Authority on AIDS Control.

“Our mission has always been to watch the GF. It never crossed our mind that we would be PR. We wanted to keep the GF on its toes. Innovative partnership launches PR Management Dashboard

New dashboard helps Global Fund principal recipients identify problems and progress with grant implementation

Grant Management Solutions, the Global Fund and SAP SE have developed a new management dashboard for principal recipients (PRs), which provides users with an overview of a grant’s implementation progress.

Developed from June 2013 to November 2014, the dashboard was handed over to the Global Fund for dissemination to PRs in February 2015.
